Cutty Sark
Hosting an event on a grade I-listed tea clipper ship is bound to get your guests attention, whether you’re entertaining clients at a corporate event, product launch or award ceremony; or celebrating here for a wedding or private event. Built in 1869 to carry tea back from China, Cutty Sark offers more than just a grand spectacle, with a historic legacy that is sure to give your event an extra-special edge.
The main and most modern space is the Dry Berth, a stunning room that can hold up to 450 standing, or 270 people seated. The huge copper-clad hull suspended above the space creates an iridescent glow – akin to water – that really brings the venue’s nautical connotations to life.
The venue hire includes access to the ship itself, with options to hold dinners and receptions on the Tween Deck, with a capacity of 100 standing or 60 seated banquet-style; or a standing reception of up to 100 on the Weather Deck. The Weather Deck is an outdoor space located on the deck of the ship, with breathtaking views across London. This space is recommended for summer parties and drinks receptions. For larger events, guests can explore the ship on arrival, before descending to the main event space in the Dry Berth.
