Kew Gardens is one of London’s most magical public spaces with 320 acres of world-famous gardens and breathtaking seasonal trails. Each year, from midOctober through to early January, the gardens are transformed for the Halloween and Christmas light trails, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors for one of London’s go-to seasonal events,

For the past seven years, KERB Events has been proud to be part of this magic by bringing brilliant food by independent KERB traders, festive drinks and smooth operations to Kew.

The Brief

KERB Events was brought in to help feed and water the huge number of visitors exploring Kew’s Halloween and Christmas light trails seven years ago – and every year we elevate the experience.

The brief is all about creating a food and drink offer that feels as special as the setting - indulgent, festive, crowd-pleasing and built for high-volume public retail.

In its most recent annual edition, we curated a brilliant line-up of 16 KERB traders, bringing together some of the best independent food businesses in London. From next-level fried chicken and hot kati rolls to loaded hotdogs, stuffed gyros, steak teriyaki rice bowls, wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, chocolate-dipped churros and sweet treats, the food offer was designed to give visitors a proper reason to soak up the atmosphere – with the right balance of festive classics and on-trend dishes.

Alongside the traders, our bars delivered plenty of festive pours – with the mulled wine keeping guests warm and happy on those cold winter nights.

Big crowds, careful event operations

With around 7,000 guests a day moving through the gardens across a 60-day run, the operation has to be incredibly well managed.

At Kew, secure and sensitive operations are a top priority. The gardens are a protected and much-loved environment, so every element of the food and bar operation has to be carefully planned - from trader load-in and waste management to stock movement, power, water, staffing and service flow.

Our team manages the full food and drink delivery across the trail, making sure the guest experience stays smooth while protecting the gardens at every stage.

The result is a reliable, high-volume public retail operation that feels effortless to visitors and respects one of the UK’s most treasured cultural spaces.

KERB’s bars bringing the festive pours

Christmas at Kew requires more than just great food - it needs proper festive drinks to match the magic of the trail.

KERB Events delivered 8 bars across the site, serving seasonal pours to keep guests warm, refreshed and in the festive spirit. Built for high-volume public service, the bars are positioned and operated to keep queues moving while adding another layer of atmosphere to the visitor experience.

From hot drinks – including 90,000+ mulled wines served across the 2025 edition – to cocktails, beers and more festive favourites, the bars play a central role in making the trail feel indulgent and full of Christmas spirit.

Seven years of festive feasting at Kew

We’re proud to have been part of Christmas at Kew for seven magical years — feeding and watering thousands of guests as they make their way through one of London’s most enchanting seasonal experiences.

It is a huge team effort, bringing together KERB traders, bar teams, event operators and the wider Kew team to deliver brilliant food and drink at serious scale.
